Michael Terry, CFAChief Financial Officer

Michael Terry is Chief Financial Officer for Anchor Insurance Holdings, Inc., and its subsidiary companies: Anchor Property & Casualty Insurance Company and Anchor Specialty Insurance Company.

In this role, Michael is responsible for strategic planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities including accounting, financial reporting, tax and treasury.

Prior to joining Anchor, Michael spent 15 years in the financial services industry, honing his leadership skills in several disciplines including business development, insurance, risk management, mortgage secondary marketing, asset-liability management and financial forecasting and analysis.

Recently, Michael served as Vice President of Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle, where he managed the day to day operation of the Bank’s Funding Desk and provided guidance to members regarding funding needs, asset-liability management, and loan growth strategies. His outstanding work earned him the Enterprise Performance Award in 2012.

While serving at United Insurance Holdings Corp, Michael was responsible for overseeing and managing the continued development of budgeting, financial, forecasting and operating activities. He analyzed and monitored performance trends used to advise leadership of financial strategies and CAT Reinsurance modeling/purchasing. He played a key role in automating the selection of takeout policies for UPC and simplifying the on-boarding process.

Michael holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has earned a Masters Degree in Investment Management and Financial Analysis from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
